Drawing Playoff Brackets

SportsHeadz is excited to announce Brackets now displays a playoff Bracket for your tournaments. This Bracket is available on your Schedules and Standings page.

Previously, when visitors viewed the schedule for your quarterfinal, semifinal, and championship games, the tournament site displayed a simple list of games. Now, it shows a bracket (chart) that visually highlights team advancements.

To enable on your website, once you have your schedule added, simply update your quarterfinal, semifinal and championship game #s to the following format: QF1, QF2, QF3, QF4, SF1, SF2 and F

If your tournament uses quarterfinals, our default setup is for the winners of QF1 and QF2 advance to SF1 and the winners of QF3 and QF4 advance to SF2

Use the Convert Labels tool in the control panel to update your "Labels" to specific team(s) and the Bracket will update.

Below is an example of a completed Group with scores.

Advanced:

For tournaments using a "double knock-out" format, we have you covered. Below is an example of an 8-Team double knock-out tournament running over 2 days.

  1. Add all of your games to be played in the tournament using "label"s for the placeholders.
  2. Ensure a game # for each game.

The image below is the matching schedule to the Bracket drawn above.

With your schedule added to the website, in Brackets, navigate to Schedules —> Elimination Visualizations

Click the Add Visualization(s) button and a window will open

In the window above, for the U12 AA group, the two teams in Game# G11, the winner will go to Game# G13 (i.e. final) and the loser will go to Game #G12 (i.e. bronze) game.
