How Brackets Works

The following is the "workflow" when a team registers using Brackets.

1. Team completes online registration form
2. Tournament Admin(s) will receive an Email notification titled "NEW TEAM REGISTRATION"
3. The team information is added to the Registered Teams section in Brackets

4.a If the tournament has enabled the "Auto Accept All New Team Registrations" setting, teams will skip the "PENDING" status and be automatically marked as "ACCEPTED" into the tournament. An email with the subject "Tournament Registration Accepted" will be sent to the team.

4.b If the tournament has NOT enabled the "Auto Accept All New Team Registrations" setting, newly registered teams will be placed in a "PENDING" status. The Tournament Director must then manually ACCEPT or DECLINE each registration. Upon initial registration, the team will receive an email titled "Tournament Registration Pending Acceptance". When the Tournament Director updates the team’s status to either "ACCEPTED" or "DECLINED", a corresponding email—"Tournament Registration Accepted" or "Tournament Registration Declined"—will be sent to the team contacts.

5. When a team is marked as "ACCEPTED", a unique page called the Team Self-Management Portal is automatically created for them. Through this portal, the team’s manager or coach can manage payments, add player lineups and coaching staff, upload required documents, and reserve hotel room blocks using the SportsHeadz Concierge service.
6. Brackets will generate "FEES" for "ACCEPTED" teams
7. "ACCEPTED" teams can now make payments arrangements through their Team Self-Management Portal.
8. Should a team complete a Payment notification, the tournament admin will receive a "New Team Payment" email notification.
9. When the payment arrives in your bank or the cheque arrives in your hand, the tournament admin will mark the payment as "VERIFIED" in the Manage Teams—>Feature Tracking—>Fees & Payments section. The team contacts will receive a "Deposit Payment Verified" or "Full Amount Payment Verified" email.
10. If the verified payment was for the Full Amount, Brackets will automatically change their registration status from "ACCEPTED" to "CONFIRMED". If the payment was a deposit, the team will remain in the "ACCEPTED" status until the full fee is paid.
