Brackets Game Numbering
Each game added to your schedule should be assigned a unique game number.

Game numbers can be a numerical range ie 1, 2, 3, 4 etc....
Game numbers could be specific to a group ie U10AA-1, U10AA-2, U10AA-3 etc... by combining a "prefix" and a game number.
When using the Brackets Round-Robin Builder, the game numbering automatically generated is RR1, RR2, RR3, RR4 etc... for all round-robin games in the group, then uses QF1, QF2, QF3, QF4 for all Quarter-Final games and SF1, SF2 for Semi-Finals. We use a simple F for the championship/Final game.
In most cases, tournament organizers will want game numbers to reflect the tournament’s date and time schedule structure.
If one or more games are rescheduled to a different day or time, the game number sequence may need to change—for example, becoming Game 1, 2, 5, 3, 4, 6, etc.
Our Bulk Game Numbering tool can assist this process. In Brackets, navigate to Schedule—Manage Games—>Bulk Game Numbering
This page is divided into two panels: the left panel allows renumbering of Round-Robin games, while the right panel supports renaming Elimination games such as quarterfinals, semifinals, and finals

Reset Numbering For Each Group
When you first launch this tool, Reset Numbering For Each Group will be "checked" and the games will be displayed by group(s). Keep the Reset Numbering For Each Group "checked" if you want any numbering changes to apply to all groups. Therefore...
U10 A will have RR1, RR2, RR3, RR4 etc..
U11 A will also have RR1, RR2, RR3, RR4 etc..
U15 AA will have RR1, RR2, RR3, RR4 etc..
If you want all games to be numbered sequentially from 1, 2, 3, 55, 56, 57, 88, 89, 90, uncheck the Reset Numbering For Each Group box and click the BLUE Re-Generate button. The page will reorganize the games by date/time starting with your first game and renumber accordingly.
Start At
By entering a number, the Renumbering tool will start with this number when updating the games
Click the Blue Re-Generate button to update your numbering.
Prefix
Add a string of characters before the numbering begins. example RR will then show as RR1, RR2, RR3, RR4 etc...
Click the Blue Re-Generate button to update your numbering.
Combine Divisions
When Combined Divisions is checked, the game numbering will apply to all of the games in a group regardless of pool. Numbering is based on the start date/times of the games in the group.
Click the Blue Re-Generate button to update your numbering.

When Combined Divisions is unchecked, the game numbering will be based on the pools. For example, if Pool A has 6 games and Pool B has 6 games in the round-robin, the number will happen as the following.
Pool A games ... 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6
Pool B games ... 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12
Click the Blue Re-Generate button to update your numbering.

Use Pool Prefix
This option will add the Prefix from the Pool before the game number. For example, Pool A... the letter "A" will be added before the number. example, A1, A2, A3, A4, A5, A6 and for Pool B, the letter "B" will be added before the number. example, B1, B2, B3, B4, B5, B6
To use this option, Reset Numbering For Each Group must be "checked".

Edit Elimination Game Numbers

Prefix
We recommend that elimination games use standard prefixes such as "QF" for quarter-final games, "SF" for semi-final games, and "F" for the final. A prefix of 'auto' will attempt to use the name of the division to generate the prefixes.
If you remove the word 'auto' and click the blue Re-Generate button, numbering will resume where the round-robin games stopped. For example, if you have 58 round-robin games, the first elimination game will start at #59.

Ignore Divisions
When you enable the 'Ignore Divisions' checkbox and you remove the word 'auto', game numbering for the elimination games will be based on the number of games in the group.
For example below, if U13A has 15 round-robin games, your elimination game numbering will start at #16 for the semi-final.
Click the blue Re-Generate button to update the numbering.
