Convert "Labels" to Teams
When setting up tournament games with unknown opponents (e.g., semi-finalists or championship game), you can use placeholder labels to schedule the matches. These "Labels" are used for the Home and Visitor teams in absence of an actual team name.
Examples are:
1st - Pool A
2nd - Pool B
1st - Pool B
2nd - Pool A
Winner of SF 1
Winner of SF 2
Once you know the advancing teams you will need to "Covert" the label to the actual teams playing in the game. In Brackets, navigate to Schedules—>Manage Games—>Convert Labels
On the convert labels page, you will see a table with headings similar to this.

- Select the appropriate Group
2-5. In the Replace With column, select the teams which matches the Label
1st - Pool A | Chicago Knights |
2nd - Pool B | London Aces |
1st - Pool B | Toronto Toros |
2nd - Pool A | New York Patriots |
- Click the "Convert Games" button at the top right of the page. Repeat this process for other groups.
Repeat the process above when you know the two teams advancing from your semi-finals to your championship game.
*Brackets will update the schedule with the actual teams and no longer use your label. **Scores cannot be added to games if at least one team is still using a label.
What to do when you converted the label to the WRONG team
Navigate to Schedules—>Manage Games (Select the group) and double-click on the specific game to open the scheduling window.
- Check the "Use Label" box for wrongfully "converted" team
- Enter the a "Label" i.e. 2nd - Pool B
- Click Update
Navigate back to the Convert Labels page and select the correct team advancing to this game.
