Brackets Team Payment Options

Brackets is built to accept and track “online” payments such as SportsPay or Stripe as well as “offline” payments such as checks or E-transfers (Canadian tournaments)

To setup your payment options, in Brackets go to: Initial Configuration-->Team Payment Options

Online Payments:

Brackets offers two integrated payment processors, SportsPay and Stripe. To initiate an account with either provider, contact brackets@sportsheadz.com

With a successful SportsPay or Stripe authorization, Brackets receives the payment verification and applies the payment to the teams account.

Do NOT Accept This Payment Type For:

Brackets allows the tournament to restrict which payment(s) can be accepted for your deposit and your full amount payment. For example.. if you wanted the teams to pay the deposit by credit card ONLY and do not want them paying the full amount by credit card – you can checkbox the full payment as an excluded payment. Contact brackets@sportsheadz.com for more information.

Surcharge:

If you would like the teams to cover the credit card processing fee, the tournament has the option to add a surcharge amount. This $$ amount is to cover the processing fee is added on top of your tournament entry fee and paid by the team.

Cheques & E-Transfers:

For many tournaments, Cheques and E-Transfers are critical forms of payment. In this section we will add the cheque instructions...who to make the cheque payable to and where to send it.

For E-Transfers, you will provide Brackets with your E-Transfer email address as well as a predetermined security question and password. * Not all bank accounts can send to an auto-deposit so we provide the username and password in those rare instances.

The instructions you just entered will be provided to the teams once they make their payment arrangement on their team page. An email with the instructions will follow shortly after.

Important: Please do not post your cheque or E-Transfer instructions on your public pages. If teams contact you for your address or E-transfer email address, please ask them to use their team page on the website.

Coupons:

Sometimes it becomes necessary to discount a team's registration fee. By creating a Registration Coupon, the team can apply the coupon code and have their registration amount reduced. The coupon can be a set dollar amount or a percentage. The tournament director must create the unique coupon code, set the discount amount and how many times the coupon can be redeemed. Simply provide the team with the coupon code. When the team is on their team page-->manage fees & payments they will see the "Apply Coupon" button.
