Brackets Team Limits and Workflows

Initial Configuration--> Limits & Workflows

To apply the same settings to all of your groups at the same time, Double-Click on the line with your Tournament Name. If you want to make changes to a specific group, double-click on the line with that group.

The Limits & Workflows window will open.

Team Limit / Waitlist:

The team limit setting is required to open registration along with the Registration Open & Close dates.

Enter a number for the total teams in each group you will accept. Once your registration limit is reached, registration closes for the specific group. The team limit count can be on “confirmed” teams only OR “accepted” plus “confirmed” *Confirmed or Accepted is recommended.

The team limit number can be adjusted plus or minus at a later date depending on the strength of your registration.

Enabling the “Allow Waitlist” check box will allow teams to register for the waitlist only once the team limit is reached.

Auto Accept All New Registrations:

When a new team registers, the Tournament Admin can “Auto-Accept all New Registrations which means any team completing the registration form is in the tournament subject to payment. The alternative is to have registrations enter the “pending” status which means any team completing the registration form requires the Tournament Admin to review the registration and accept or decline the team.

Auto Confirm on Payment of: Full Payment, Deposit or Don't Confirm

When a team makes a payment, Brackets can automatically change the team's registration status from Accepted to Confirmed. While most tournaments will wait for the team to be paid in-full before confirming, it is possible to automatically confirm a team with only a deposit.

Allow Overdue Payments:

If you have set a due date for your deposit or full payment, once that date has passed, the team will no longer be able to make a payment arrangement. By allowing overdue payments, teams will be still be able to make payments past your imposed due date.

Require Invitation Code to Register:

In some cases, a Tournament Director may choose to restrict registration to certain teams who have been “invited” to participate. A “registration code” is generated by the tournament and provided to the team(s) prior to their registration.

Show "Tips" on Registration Pages:

During the registration process, it might be useful to show "tips" to teams regarding the various steps they'll be doing (before they complete each step). By default these are shown to help the team during the registration process, but they can be hidden by changing the setting below. (NOTE: This setting ONLY applies at the tournament level and not for each individual group)

Show Re-Register Prompt:

If the tournaments in your website often have the same teams register in more than one tournament, you can show a prompt on the registration page to help make it easier for a team admin to re-use their team information when registering for subsequent tournaments.

Hide "Counts" on Registration Pages:
By default the registration landing page and start pages will show the number of open registration spots available. To hide this number, set this to "Yes".

Teams Listed in "Participating Teams" Page:

In your tournament website you will notice a “Teams” page in your menu. This page will list all of the teams you have confirmed or accepted into the tournament. Teams in Pending or on the waitlist will not appear.
