Navigate to Members - Communications - Manage Tags

Tag allows contacts to be organized into one or more groups, which can then be used for sending specific messages to certain contacts.

Tags can optionally allow for a contact to self-join from their own self-management page.

For example, if you're looking to create a list of contacts who might be interested in volunteering, you could create a tag called "Volunteer Interest" and ensure contacts can self-join. Then, once contacts have joined the tag, whenever volunteers are needed a message can be sent to those who declared they were interested in helping out by joining that tag.

Note: To comply with most privacy / anti-spam laws, all contacts will also have the opportunity to opt-out of any tag they've either joined or been assigned to. This information will be visible to administrators of the contacts / tags but opting back in would be up to the contact.

The Manage Contacts page has an option for importing a set of contacts to be directly assigned to a tag.

To add a new tag hit Add New Tag. Fill out a name, description, dates and check of Self-Join if applicable. Hit Insert.

When you are done, tags will be listed on the page. You can Edit by clicking the pencil icon. You can delete by clicking the trash can.

Direct and Indirect contacts as well as Opted out Contacts will all be listed here:

Click on any of those columns to Add or Delete contacts.
