How do Officals get paid for cancelled games?

When a game is cancelled and it has officials assigned, the assignor(s) get notification which specifically says when the game was to be played relative to when it was cancelled and includes the names, positions, and pay rates of all officials assigned to it at the time of being cancelled. So they have that logged via email.

In the cases when the officials need to be paid anyway there’s a few options:

1) Add a “bonus” to their next assignment which includes the money owed to them from the cancelled game with a note about why they’re the bonus. This is what almost everybody has been doing for the past couple decades and while it’s a bit messy it does work as long as the official has an upcoming assignment at the time of cancellation.

2) Add a dummy game to the scheduling module with the original details of the game loaded in (could also just be added as an Intrasquad, which is probably even better). And then re-assign the original umpires with their positions and rates.

At present all the assignments are tied to games (which makes sense) but the weakness is that the fines / bonuses are tied to an assignment.
